Make It Sunday with Jennifer Chapin

Hi! My name is Jennifer Chapin and I'm excited to be here on the Elle's Studio blog sharing a layout! A little about me - my husband and I live in Eastern Iowa with our little girl Keira and our dog Hunter. We are also expecting a new baby in August! During the week I work as a nurse. Currently I am designing for GCD Studios, Pretty Little Studio and my local store, the Scrapbooking Studio. I was also on the Elle's Studio team in 2011. Here's how this layout came together:
1. I started with a topic and title in mind for this layout. When Elle sent me tags from the One and Only line, I knew the hearts would match perfectly! I started with a neutral base of patterned paper, then added the bottom border of buttons.

2. One of my new favorite techniques is to use your punches to create negative space. I punched a strip of patterned paper with my circle punch and popped it up on foam adhesive. In the negative space, I added embellishments, buttons and brads.

3. I added my photo, journaling cards and title (card behind title is from the Collected Large Journaling tags), then used my Silhouette to cut a large heart for above the photo. All the patterned papers I used on this layout are from the new My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline line.
