Our 5 month old son is going to be a fire fighter just like his daddy - better get working on that costume!

My 18 month old son is going to be a pumpkin for the day! He doesn't know this yet! :)

Mummy costumes are one of my faves and you can distress the gauze which helps it look more authentic.

So so cute. I've had that witches broom idea tucked away--need to actually do it this year!! My 4 yr old is going as Captain Hook, my 19 month old as Peter Pan..and I'm told I'm suppose to be Tinker Bell--HA!!

I'm not sure that I'm dressing up this year. Last year at work, my department dressed up as nerds (Revenge of the Nerds). I'm in the accounting department, so this was probably fitting. =)

Love those circle tags!

I am at a loss for what to dress my little one up as this year. Last year he was the most adorable little tiger and his costume even roared! My oldest thinks he might just want to go as a soccer player.

One daughter is going to be Cruella DeVille, the other is going to be little Miss Sunshine and my 4 month old boy is going to be a pumpkin.

Nathalie said...

Loving all the ideas here! My kid wants to be a ghost... not super original, I know, but easy enough to make at home! Thank you for the chance at this great giveaway!

I'm going to dress up as a granny because back in Aug. I became one to the sweetest little girl. That way she would be scared of any face make-up.

I always get in my PJ's and when children ask i tell them i am a baby! i get to relax and hand out candy and they think i am dressed up!

No dressing up for me. I'm going to be on a plane on my way to Italy.

Alaina said...

Fairies are still all the rage around here so my girl will be Tinkerbell's friend Rosetta. As for me, I will be "mom". Cop out huh?

howejam said...

don't know about me yet, but my baby (well, he's 3 in 10 days) will be a spider or a pumpkin!

Nitasha said...

We have a new baby girl bulldog and she is soooo cute- I think I'm more excited about dressing her up more than dressing up my boys! Finally get to get a princess costume!
Love the mini card idea- perfect for sharing treats with my co-workers!

This year my Claire Bear will be a Care Bear.

I usually wear either a witch's hat or bunny ears while walking with my sons. My one son is being a police officer. My other son does not know yet what he'll be. I guess we better be thinking up something soon. Thanks for a chance to win.

No dressing up for me and my kids are all grown. The grandkids always keep their costumes a secret from me until the big day.

This year my great-niece is big enough to wear The Dragon Costume! It started out 23 years ago with my now 27 year old son and has been worn by both his sisters, a few friends and now on to little Sarah! What fun!

No Halloween costumes for this girl or her family. We dont like to celebrate this holiday.

No dressing up for us but I love all the great ideas that we can transfer and use for other Holidays! These blog hops are so much fun!

No kids - but I think I'm going to be an 80's girl. I had to dress 80's for the crew team I was on for the Breast Cancer 3 Day last month ... so bought lots of neon, legwarmers, etc. Also wore an extensive amount of blue eye shadow ... so I think I better use it while I still have it! :)

GretaB said...

Great ideas for making the halloween treats even more fun by decorating them! I'm going to do that for our trick-or-treaters. Thanks for the idea. :)

If I get the supplies and time allows, I'm just going to make an owl mask (as seen in Martha Stewart magazine).

Thanks for the fun blog party and all the great ideas!

Just emailed my answer - but I'll leave it here, too! :)

My daughter is dressing up as a peacock – costume in which we (my mom & I) are making (gulp) and my 3 y/o son is going to be a farmer, complete with John Deere tractor bandana, overalls, and riding his tractor tricycle! Should be pretty cute!

PARobin said...

My 4 year old is going to be a purple princess. It was the color of the dress as we were looking through pattern books. I told her she could pick another color but she was going with the picture. Plus the dress will double as a dress-up dress after Halloween. Now I just have to sew it!

kismetart said...

My 7 year old is going to be Indiana Jones (for the second year), my 2 year old is going to be a forrest fairy (all in purple and green), and I am going to go out on a limb and come up with something slightly more exciting than myself, dressed in black, with a witch hat on my head :)

Nicole K/GothamGal said...

I think I'm going to be Batgirl... Which excites me to no end!

Joli said...

My son is going to be Luigi, from Mario Bros. and my daughter is going to (hopefully) be Princess Peach. If my husband is going to be home he will be Mario.
I am already thinking about the pages I will scrapbook....

Jingle said...

I probably will dress up because I love it! I can't decide what I want to do yet, though! Maybe a pirate. I've thought a bit about doing that. It would just be WAY fun!

Tammy said...

My son is going to be a power ranger. He is so excited and keeps asking how many more days!

Shawninaz said...

My daughter is dressing up as a Dark Angel and I just bought a cute Halloween t-shirt from Rusty Pickle at the scrapbook convention here in AZ.

Since I don't have any kids and have no where to go, I probably won't be dressing up this year :o(
But I still love to get my crafty groove on and "dress up" my gifts and treats for the holiday!

I live in a small town (and have no kids) so dressing up for Halloween isn't really my thing. My husband and I are going to take a haunted carriage tour in historical downtown, though.

Andrea said...

I'm not dressing up for Halloween, but I am going on a mini vacation with friends to Kentucky! Should be fun since we'll be making cards and other projects I'm sure.

Cynthia B. said...

I don't plan to dress up - I do have a pumpkin shirt that I wear every year, just for the trick-or-treaters! :) My kids haven't decided what they'll be yet. Last year's doctor costume for my daughter and skeleton for my son are probably one-hit wonders! ;)

mandi said...

I usually try to dress up - it depends on if I get the kids ready in time to take care of me. This year we're doing Harry Potter. We've got Harry, Hedwig, a ghost, and they want me to be Tonks + the hubs to be Hagrid [on account that he's very tall]. Fun times!

lovin2scrap said...

I have a Little Red Riding Hood costume that is my favorite to use! When it is cold on Halloween, I would go with the Tin Man from wizard of oz......... ya know grey sweats!!

scrapmin said...

Last year my daughter was a biker chick. We had a leather biker vest in size 3T, so we added jeans, boots, a red doo-rag, and my husband drew a tatoo on her cheek and knuckles. She was SOOOO cute.

my 10 year old is dressing as a 'devil' albeit a pretty devil ;) and her twin brother will likely be a ninja.

i will probably dress up, but i work at school with autistic children so my 'costume' needs to allow for mobility and not be too alarming.

ArlaMo said...

We haven't decided yet!! Yikes! We always do something theme-y as a family and with 8 costumes to sew, I best get busy.

Mandy said...

Love your Halloween items! We are going to dress our twin boys as Hanz and Franz from SNL :)

DD is going to be a doctor and DS#3 is going to be a train engineer. I got both of their costumes at Gymboree. DS#2 is going to be a "generic" ghoul with a hand like Freddie from The Nightmare on Elm Street. DH and I usually don't dress up but we might this year. DS#1 just likes to run around in his regular clothes with his friends. That's a teenager for you!

Shannon said...

I won't be dressing up this year. My boys are still trying to figure out their costumes but my daughter is going to be a ladybug.

My DD is a little older and thinks it's not cool to dress up any longer. Sigh. :-( But I do get to dress up for the kids at my preschool and have a "hoedown" so that still gives me a reason to celebrate. These mini treats and cards are the perfect item to give to all my co workers! I especially love that flower made with strips of paper!
