one super duper crazy week!

Thank you so much for the happy birthday wishes! It was a fun one and the cake was delish! But WOW! What a crazy week it's been!! I spent all day on Monday and Wednesday trying to get one of my freelancing clients ready for their open house. A ton of signs, flyer's and event programs had to be designed. And, on Tuesday, Thursday, all day/night Friday and Saturday I spent trying to wrap up a 94 page book, for the other place I work, a get it printing. Completely crazy how everything ended up during the same week, but oh well! But, because it was so crazy, my etsy shop is suffering! Sorry it is so empty!! I will be adding a couple of things today, tomorrow and a HUGE update should coming on Tuesday, since I'll have a couple of days off during the week to make up for the overage I worked. Also, I need to update my 365 photos! They are really behind :( Anyways, just wanted to fill everyone in on why all of the sudden I disappeared. Hope everyone had a great week!

Today is my birthday! And, I'm 25 :)

This year has been a really great year, maybe the best so far! Last year, at this time, I quit a job of 3.5 years and was pretty unsure of what the future held. I did have a new job to go to, but it wasn't full time. Within a couple of months I landed a couple of freelancing jobs to fill in the time I wasn't working and now with the Etsy shop, I'm pretty busy!

I've met SO many great, wonderful and inspiring people that it truly amazes me when I look back at everything. I mean, if I would of never left that job, all these things that happened this year, probably would of never had a chance to happen!

So, all that to say, I'm very thankful this year. And very thankful for all of YOU! You guys are great!! And, I'm saving you all a piece of cake :) (It's chocolate by the way!)

Stacey's calendar is so bright and colorful! Love that!! She turned this calendar into a mini planner to keep track of birthdays, things to do, plans and more! She made it so you can write in the calendar and use it as the months go on! This is great, and almost like a diary that you can look back and remember everything you did! Love it Stacey!! Laina did an awesome job with a theme for each month around the holiday or season! What a great idea! She even did a little to-do list for at the start of each season! And check out the bright cover with that little skull charm! So CUTE Laina!! (Click on the photos to make them larger!!)

Check out Melonie's She did pockets on her calendar and I love this idea! Put little keepsakes in them as the months go on and when the years over you have a keepsake that will last forever! Imagine 10 years from now opening it up and being able to pull out your little memories. You can even stick journaling tags in them and journal on them a little summary at the end of the month about what happened or something you want to remember forever. Mel, you did an awesome job!! Well, after seeing all the girls fun calendars, I had to break out my scrapbooking supplies and do a page! I was inspired!! I'm planning on giving mine to my parents for Christmas, so I'm going to include lots of photos and highlight all our families birthdays. I can't wait for them to open this on Christmas morning (don't worry, they don't read my blog because they don't have a computer, so it's safe to talk about!!)

Time just seems to fly by!! I've got all the pre-ordered kits packed up and ready to take to the post office tomorrow, thanks for such an awesome response to the calendar kit! I'm so glad everyone likes it!! Very, very cool!

And... I'm so excited!! I decided to dive into the 365 project on flickr. I'm going to try and take a photo a day, for a year. I started September 1st and it's going to be exciting to look back in the future and see where I was, and compare it to where I am then... Hopefully I can keep up with it.. haha I'm already a couple of days behind... And, I know I've said it before, but there is just so much inspiration on flickr, love it!! I've been trying to figure out how to make those mosaic's out of your fav photos... anyone know how?


I ended up taking new photos of the calendar kits :) Those last photos just didn't do it justice!! And please check back soon for the pictures of the kits the girls put together! I just got to see a sneak peak of one and I CANNOT WAIT!! Sooo much fun and color!!

I just can't thank you guys enough! The response to the DT call for the kits was unbelievable! It made it hard to narrow it down, everyone had such wonderful submissions! I ended up going with three great girls, with great style! Drum roll please.......................................

Lots of journaling spots and goodies! Some of these journaling spots are printed on sticker paper, so leave the glue at home! This is something new you will be seeing around the shop in the next coming weeks. I'm totally in love with the sticky paper! You can also get another set of the journaling tags, with an add-on, so you'll never run out!

The kits are now on pre-sale at etsy, the response to the pre-order requests were great, so I decided to put them up a couple of days early. These will start shipping on the 10th. (I know, I said the 8th earlier, but I didn't clue in and realize that was a Saturday and the Post Office is closed... LOL! Sorry about that, I need to stop trying to plan things out late at night!)

And... geez it feels like it's calendar crazy in the shop! All the tags, and now the kits ;) Lots of fun though, I promise! Now, I just need to get my Christmas stuff in order and off to the printers! There's never a dull moment around here!!!
