ooo butterflies!! ... happy birthday mom!

Today was a great day! I treated myself to the day off - I've been working a lot of hours lately, so I decided it was time to have a break! I was planning on scrapin' all day but time just flew and by the time I was done catching up with everything I have been pushing off, I just had time to wrap my mom's birthday present! I think that the presentation is just as important as the gift inside and I hope she likes it! I used the Martha Stewart template that has been floating around and some Hambly rub-ons. I just LOVE how they turned out! So much fun!!! I need to take Monday's off more often :) haha... I WISH!

So this would explain the candy corn and buttons! I know, "Halloween already?" but... it's right around the corner!! And I've had this button card idea in my head for awhile and finally decided to go for it! And it turned out so cute, I love them! I had to make a bunch for me first :)

So they are all in the shop now... and another new item not pictured here, mini notebook paper!

sara bareilles rocks my socks

I went to see if there was any new music on itunes, and Sara was in the top 10, so I listened to the 30 sec clips. She's pretty cool! And her entire album was only like 6.99 (or maybe 7.99, I can't remember...). AND check out the pdf booklet that comes with it, awesome pics and colors. LOVE IT! Go download it :) My favorite song is "Gravity," I'm just a sucker for piano!

Who has time to go to the movies? And afford the $10 ticket, plus the $15 extra for pop and popcorn? Not me!! I'd much rather rent them... and watch them in my pj's!! But, I've been a little... okay... VERY MUCH SO behind on my movie renting. It's not convent to run to blockbuster every week, nor can I remember to return them on time and usually end up with late fees - so I'm considering the online renting, either through blockbuster or netflix. But, until I get around to actually doing that, I'm making a list of movies that I want to watch so when I do, I have my list ready!!!

new hair... do you love it?!

This week and weekend were crazy, but fun! I got about 3 inches of hair cut off, and LOVE IT! My sister cuts hair and did it for me, super stylish!! "Do you LOVE it? Or, do you LOVE it?"

On Saturday, my friend and I went to the Japanese Gardens in Seattle. It was a beautiful day but unfortunitely nothing was in bloom except the one dogwood tree above! They had a pond with Koi fish in it and they were the largest fish I have every seen!! It was actually kinda scary and when the got close I felt like they were going to jump out and bite me! I mean really... what are they feeding these things anyways?

HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!! Have a safe and happy one!!!

I'll be celebrating with the day off and relaxing with the family. After that, it's back to work, work and more work! I have a couple of large deadlines coming up, that would explain the lack of posts lately! And the lack of new designs in the shop... but new designs will be coming soon... hopefully this weekend? Now that's wishful thinking!!
